Took dad for dimsum on November 1 and thought I'd post as the photos turned out pretty decently. We thought everything was well executed. We mostly stayed away from steamed dumplings per previous less than stellar renditions, though the chive cake, which is steamed and then pan fried was pretty good and much better than last try. The eggplant was perfect, as were the daikon cakes. The sampan rice was maybe a bit less flavourful than previously. I love the double cooked ginger pudding here! Very reasonable too. We got good service in a mostly empty room -- we actually got there before they opened at 10 for our 11 am reso, as we had forgotten about the time change, doh!
pix are of eggplant, shrimp roll, cha siu bao, pan fried chive cake, interior of bao, sampan rice, daikon cakes, steamed ginger pudding, prices, bill for three people
