Yesterday, I had another enjoyable casual family dinner at Richmond Hill's Judy's Cuisine. Quality of their wok-hay stirred fry still maintained a consistently high standard. IMHO, their stirred fry beef and free range chicken dishes must rank amongst the best in the GTA.
During dinner, I was introduced to their seasonal collection of ' Fresh, daily made ' Chinese New Year Festive Cakes. Savory Turnips and Taro ones plus the sweet and chewy red dates ' Lin-Go ' New Year cake. At $8 a piece sans tax, they were cheaper than most of their competitors. No harm trying?!
At first glance, I was impressed by the cake size and generous amount of diced Chinese preserved meat topping. After trying a few today, I was very satisfied with the product. Lots of turnips filling, nice consistency and texture ( not mushy at all ) and staying intact after shallow frying.
I would say, value-wise, its better than the Luculus, Richmond Court and most restaurants in the area.
