Ok, so the 7 of us went to Zenon in Astoria for dinner. We ordered an appetizer of sheftalia (cypriiot sausages), keftedes (meatballs), dolmades(stuffed grape leaves with chicken and rice), grilled octopus, large cypriot salad, dip sampler (tzatziki, melintzanosalata, scordalia, and taramas), stuffed mushrooms and saganaki.
I was so fascinated by the taste of the choices. My personal favorites were the cypriot sausages, octopus and the dolmades. Each one of the dips was very satisfying.
All of us really enjoyed the food and then we all ordered the "greek coffee Gleeko (sweet)" and for dessert we ordered the galaktopouriko and halva. The whole dining experience was fantastic.
Since we did not want to go home after, we headed to Avenue Cafe and ordered 3 "frappes". We really enjoyed the fraps (as we heard the table near us ordering).
We will be sure to come back for more.
