Gift container for a spread?

Hi everyone, it's my first time posting on this board -- I'm usually on the New Orleans board. I would like to give a handful of people a spread I've created and I'm a bit stumped as to what sort of container to use.

If it were a jam or jelly or infused oil or vinegar the choices would be pretty obvious.

Something along the lines of the old fashioned cheese crock leaps to mind but I fear the expense would be offputting and I'm not sure they even make them in the size I'd want to use. For size, imagine just a little bigger than the usual small ramekin.

What would you think about the small cups you can get at Asian markets with plastic wrap on top, assuming it can be made to look not too tacky?

And how dopey is it to give someone one of a piece of something that's usually found at least in pairs if not a herd, excuse me, set?

TIA for your assistance, and Happy Holidays!
