George and the Dragon

Last night, my husband and I ventured out to try the new George and the Dragon with a friend. It is fairly close to our house, so we were hoping to find a new local standby.
First, beer list. I think we are spoiled by so many excellent beer lists in the cities, but I was disappointed by the showing. While there was the obligatory local brews, including Harriet and Summit, I felt that there was nothing new on the menu and it seemed very "safe."
For appetizer we tried the lumpia, a Filipino take on the egg roll. My husband described it as a "tasty taquito" and he was dead on.
For the main course, we tried the Asian Hangover, a pork dish with poached eggs; a roast with a stout based sauce and the salmon. While none of them we outright bad, none of us felt that the meal was memorable.
The space is lovely and, for those within walking distance, it is a place to grab a pint. I wouldn't go out of my way to try it again, however.
