Flying into Gainesville, FL around 7:30 p.m. on an upcoming Sunday and facing a few hours' driving thereafter. Would like to get some decent grub for dinner before hitting the road. Ideally, I'd like a place that serves fresh Florida seafood and/or locally-sourced meats and veggies. Not really looking for ethnic food unless it's something I can't get on the West Coast (so excellent cuban food would do). The problem I'm running into is that a lot of places close at 8 p.m. on Sunday (if they are open at all), and I'm not sure I could make an 8 p.m. deadline.
Thus, a place like Blue Gill (which seems to feature Florida seafood and southern sides, which is just about what I'm looking for) might not be possible. Any opinions as to The Top, Adam's Rib Co, Harry's Seafood (the tilapia on the menu is a cue to me that they aren't sourcing locally) or Amelia's, all of which are open later? I don't want a lot of fuss (loud music, a long wait, too formal or an active bar scene where I'd have to clean up a bit) - I just want some place that would accept my greasy self after flying across the country to get a quick meal before hitting I-75.
