Where can I get some fuyu persimmons?

glutton | Oct 6, 2009 05:17 AM

After moving from California a year ago, I planted a persimmon tree in my yard, but it's too young to bear fruit at this point. So, until my tree starts producing, where can I buy some fuyu persimmons in the Princeton area? I will travel, if necessary.

Last year, there were some "sharon fruits" at some stores -- those are the persimmons grown in Israel. They weren't bad, but they were a bit beaten up after the long trip from Israel, so they were soft in parts, mealy in other parts, and not quite the same as eating a fresh, crisp, sweet fuyu persimmon.

Please help... I'm getting the DTs due to this persimmon deprivation...
