Sorry about the lengthy post in advance. I 'm afraid I have a pretty specific question. Searching already, I've come up with very few ideas.
I'm going out with friends for dinner saturday night and we've decided that meeting somewhere in the middle would be better than choosing one of our own neighborhoods. This would put us in the Pomona/ Ontario/ Chino Hills kind of area. But we don't know anything about good places there!
We're in our late 20s/early 30s and would like to go somewhere fun and relatively inexpensive. I know it is unlikely that we'd find a happy hour situation on a saturday but a place that has "specials" would be awesome. The only real requirement: there must be a full bar (we're admittedly drinkers).
But we are totally and completely open to style of food served. In fact, the MORE exotic the better. We love tapas, japanese, authentic (read:buche) mexican food, etc. Obviously, generic chain bar/grill places aren't really our scene.
To be honest, it would also be nice to have an atmosphere where it would be easy to mingle and meet new people. We're pretty social.
This is all way too much to ask- I know. But I have faith that if there were a solution to be found, my fellow CH'ers will be the ones to identify it!
Besides, I'd love to be the one in my group to get credit for finding the new place with GREAT food (laughing)
Thanks everyone- any suggestions are appreciated!!! have a great weekend, everyone.
