A few years ago Matisse (inside the Marriott on Bloor) had a dessert which consisted of a chocolate truffle, coated in some sort of batter and deep fried, served with icing suger.
You have to eat it in one mouthfull since, when you bite into it, it literally explodes, spraying the chocolate everywhere.
This isn't on the menu at Matisse anymore - does anyone know of another Toronto restaurant that does something like this?
