Just a moment ago, while in the shower, I got what I think is a very clever solution to problem:
I recently switched to grass-fed, organic raw milk.
The brand I feel most comfortable with only comes in 1 gallon sizes.
I can't drink that much milk a week.
So, instead of having unused milk go to waste, I was thinking I'd freeze it in ice-cube trays, and use that in my Vitamix when making smoothies.
I typically add several ounces of grass fed heavy cream, and frozen cantaloupe so I'm hoping the consistency won't be too off.
By chance, has anyone here ever frozen milk? Any ideas, suggestions, thoughts?
