Cristof's is a new restaurant in a totally renovated old Florida home. Wide verandas surround the home and their is a lot of outdoor seating under huge banyan trees. Great old Florida ambiance.
Great addition to old Fort Myers. Excellent food, lovely ambiance, friendly and competent service and very reasonable pricing. This is a home run for the owner.
I had panko crusted black grouper served with a clam cream sauce. Lovely whole clams not minced stuff as you might expect. The sauce was creamy but not overly rich. It was plated with garlic mashed potatoes and julienned vegetables. that retained their crunch.
My husband loved his Southern Bouillabaise. Shrimp, mussels in a spicy cajun broth ladeled over baby spinach. The shrimp were not overcooked, an achievement in our experience with most restaurants here.
We ordered a bottle of William Hill Chardonnay. A very nice wine with a very good price at $22. We have paid twice as much for inferior meals locally. Dinner for two with a bottle of wine for well under $100. We will be back.
