Folks, just got back from the Forks Farm Market just off of Route 487 north of Bloomsburg, and I would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone. I bought the most amazing-looking pork (chops, country ribs, sausage), breads, raw milk, organic butter, lettuce, cheeses - I am in heaven! Pork chops are going on the grill tonight, the rest of the meat into the freezer. I've never had raw milk before, so first thing, before I even unloaded the rest, I opened up the jug and sat down with a big glass of it with ice - WOW! Reminds me why I love milk so much.
I expect more vegetables won't be available for a few weeks at least, due to the extremely rainy weather we've been having, but it was worth the trip for the meats and dairy products alone. And there was so much there that I would love to buy, but I had to pace myself and be cognizant of my budget (and freezer space).
It truly is just a bunch of stands popped up behind the barn - wear sneakers that you don't mind getting dirty (sandals or flip-flops won't cut it), and be sure to walk through the barn and look at the piglets and chickens, and check out the cows coming right down the hillside. Parking is right along the roadside, and get there early if you want milk or butter.
