Yeah I recently went to europe and I was ecstatic and suprised to see the Whole foods sign near one of the stations because of it's heralded status here. I was.... .. . .. so freaking amazed! WE HAVE TO GET ONE. It's like a ... sunterra except like hugely expanded. The salad bar is so crazy and beatutiful, both the mix one and the prepared ones(squash!) I didn't want to leave london after that! I ate some gelato there too mmmm mmm!
I discovered some great foods while there and now its like a week later and I'm so craving them... Indian food is by the way delicious in Europe, and the Sainsburys and Albert Heinj supermarkets are pretty wicked! Everything cut up and ready to cook, 10 billion prepared sandwiches and meals! Fruit salad that look like its not from 7-11! I miss it, boo
Anyways I need some ideads! And help finding:
- good peppery rocket(arugula)-- they use mostly what we consider fancy lettuces there!
- Canelles! Mini rum cakes carmelised on the outside.... drool in france... mmmm
- After a fresh warm Brioche au chocolat in the paris morning light nothing will ever be the same but if I can find one good enough to tide me over! That thing just... vanished.
-dutch pannekoeken, refridgerated, restaurant or even mix
- the mild pickles from out stopover at the Chicago airport, a dutch place/bar that served massive sandwiches on panini with real sauerkraut. they were not as vinegery big deli style wedge
-there was an amazing indonesian place by our hotel im amsterdam(I ate three times!) They served a massive selection of vegetarian dishes and rarities like tempeh(drool) the owner was so nice and I absolutely fell in love with the food(like all over europe haha)!
-sweet crisp corn, they use it in a lot of salads and sandwiches, and yes they had corn on the cobb at kfc. I've used crisp corn in salad but the corn was never that crisp!
For now! But I'm going to have to hit up edeilweiss pretty soon for the schnitzel, german food was so hard to find because we didn't hit germany. I by the way had a hard time eating in europe because... I dont... like thick baguettes and that was pretty much all the sandwich they served in common sandwicheries. It was weird to see a chicken cottage there too! But the rice I got there was soooo good. So saffron-ey...
I was in france but only walked by Fauchon(it was like 1 am haha)...saddddddddd. I miss the Crispy M&M's and Roasted Chicken Thyme lays(you open the bag and it smells like there is a chicken baking)
