food preservation

My favorite restaurant in the world is closing in february. (the biscuit house in columbia, south carolina.) I'd really like to buy their fried chicken biscuit sandwich and preserve it somehow, like a sculpture, just to inspire me. Any ideas about the best way to do this with a piece of food? Ideally, i'd buy it, treat it somehow, and then put it in a glass case.
I realize that food is pretty unstable, so i'm looking for any help with this task. thanks.
