There are a ton of food festivals being held in Birmingham this weekend! Dax, you should appreciate this one -- Taste of Asia. It's being held this Saturday at Cedars Club, 301 Green Springs Ave. South, just east of Green Springs Highway. Participating restaurants are: Black Pearl Chinese Restaurant, Dragon Chinese Restaurant, Golden City Chinese Restaurant, Hunan Chinese Restaurant, Top China Buffet, U China Buffet, Mr. Wang's Chinese Restaurant, Aha Bite Indian Restaurant, Curry and Kabob Indian Restaurant, Silver Coin Indian Restaurant, Ichiban Japanese Steak House, Kimono Japanese Restaurant, Shono Japanese Grill, Sumo Japanese Steak House, Christina Blackburn at AFC Sushi Concession at Vestavia Publix, Joseph Pau at AFC Sushi Concession at Vestavia Wal-Mart Marketplace, Asian Restaurant, and Pho Que Huong Vietnamese Restaurant.
The Moss Creek Festival is being held at the Preserve in Hoover on Saturday & Sunday. Participating restaurants: Bottletree Cafe, Cantina, Feed & Seed Market, Metro Market, Wright Dairy & Ice Cream, and Higher Ground coffee company. This one does not look near as intriguing as the Taste of Asia.
Jewish Food Festival at the Jewish Community Center for a brief period of Sunday. The menu includes brisket, falafel, matzo ball soup, potato knishes, pastrami sandwiches, corned beef sandwiches, and strudels.

I think I'll try the Taste of Asia. What better way to try several new things all in one location!!!
