Follow up on Commander's Palace disaster

A few weeks ago I posted a review of my trip to Commander's Palace, during which we endured the worst and most unattentive service I've ever experienced in a restaurant. To make matters worse, the food was really, really mediocre. A travesty, really.

When we complained on the way out the host said he'd take the charge ($100 for a lunch for 2) off of my credit card. This was SOME consolation...but not a lot. When I'm in NO it's a BATTLE to figure out which of the restuartants I'm going to visit in just a few days...and a lot of agonizing goes into the process of elimination:) Bad food, even for free, is not appealing. But the offer was a single ray of good will in an otherwise horrific meal at Commanders.

Well.........guess what? They never DID take the charge off my bill. The incompetence of their waiters and chefs seems to be matched by their front office. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

There are 50 places in NO where you'd have better food and a better all-around experience than Commander's Palace. It's the restaurant equivilent of an empty suit.
