Went to Stone's Bakery (in Lynn near the Swampscott line) today on the hunt for decent rye and pumpernickel bread. I got there later than I would have wished (early afternoon). Still, the pumpernickel I got is very worthy. And the seeded rye was quite good, better than I have found elsewhere in the area, though a tad bit drier than I truly love (it was still moist enough to take the thumbprint and keep it for a while), with a good crust, density and flavor.
