A friend and I stopped by Finz last evening for a couple of apps and a few drinks. I've got to say it was an absolute waste of money.
We had a very pleasant bartender who was efficient and nice. The guy who appeared to be the manager was sitting on the far side of the bar reading the Wine Spectator and drinking a glass of wine and generally not paying attention to anything.
We ordered the Buffalo Calamari and some sushi grade tuna on a rice cake with fresh ginger.
The Buffalo calamari was so one dimensional and so overwhelmed by the buffalo sauce that it was inedible. The tuna was fair, but nothing to write home about, the rice cake it was served on seemed to have been molded during the Regan administration. Hard as a rock, almost to the point of having to use a knife to cut it.
They do have few interesting wines by the glass, but very little you couldn't find at a decent wine shop. this resto seems to rely solely on the fact it is on the water and thus will be busy by default during the warm months. Too bad since it is a big spot with ample parking in a town that is trying hard to make it self a bit nicer.
