My sister just arrived in town for a visit and her son wants to try soft shell crawfish.
I told her I didn't see any on menus recently & have only had them as an appetizer and you might get one or two for about $10 (I mentioned that because I didn't think she would think they were served this way).
Somehow, my intuition was correct on this and she said, "Oh no, we want a platter of them as a meal." I told her I had never heard of this. It dawned on me since she lives in Austin & son lives in Dallas that they probably ate them at a chain restaurant. Bingo! She said Ralph & Kacoo's had them as did Pappadeaux's.
I am out of my area of expertise on this... could somebody please help me out & let me know if & where you have seen soft shell crawfish on a menu whether it be an appetizer or entree & where? If you remember how they were served all the better! They are here til Sunday.
