After 3 years here in East Cambridge, my office is moving to Canal Street in June, so I have a whole new set of lunch options to explore. Any recommendations?
My knowledge of the immediate area is limited to the places I've been before or after games, so checking out places like the Fours or Boston Beer Works will be a whole different experience for a weekday lunch than it has historically been for me. I'd love to learn that there are good values to be had at any of those places, but I'm skeptical that they'll be good for much more than a beer and some wings after work or something like that.
Outside of the immediate area, I'm certain I'll be walking over to the North End often enough, and am quite familiar with both Regina's and Ernesto's. I'm looking forward to giving Galleria Umberto another shot after having been there only once before. I'm also looking forward to some of the sandwiches to be found in that neighborhood, and could use some guidance on that front.
Lastly, I'm sure I'll find myself over at Faneuil Hall from time to time, particularly when the weather is nice. I haven't eaten anywhere over there in years, so for all I know it's ripe with lunchtime treasures for me to explore. My fear is that it is an oversized, overpriced, glorified food court, though would love to be wrong about that. Anything worth eating over there?
