I moved to Marlborough not too long ago and was very disappointed with the local pizza joints. One, Marlborough Pizza, has that Greek style thick crust pizza that was tolerable but by no means satisfied my pizza craving. The other local pizza place is called Village Green pizza and was even more lackluster. Thick crust pizza, and their large was more like a medium, although priced the same as a large would be.
I am sure Glastonbury has many great pizza joints, but for a quick dinner on a work night, I dont want to travel a half hour for pizza. I randomly picked up a pizza at Highland Park Market in Glastonbury (Rt. 94/Hebron Ave) and was pleasantly surprised. Thin crust? Check. Not too much sauce? Check. Good quality toppings? Check.
If you are in the Marlborough area and as disappointed with the local pizza places as I was, check out Highland Park.
