New Figo Pasta open in ATL!

Or is that Pasta Figo? I forget.

If you haven't tried the original location- a little takeout shop on Collier Road near DeFoor, it's time to try the new location at Huff and Howell Mill. This is the former Mondo Baking and its across the parking lot from Taqueria del Sol and Bacchanalia/Star Provision.

The old location had just a small counter around the edge of the shop and a few tables outside. Most got takeout, but you could BYO and enjoy wine with your meal there. The new location has a decent-sized (and probably soon to be filled) seating area, table-service, and serves a house wine ($3.75 per glass!!).

My neighbor and I decided to go that way yesterday, figuring we'd see whether it was open, and, if not, hit Taqueria del Sol as an alternative. Lo and behold, it was their first day in the new location.

The food was great, as always, and such a good deal. You pick your pasta and sauce, and the combo runs $5-$7. My whole wheat penne w/ funghi sauce was scrumptious and packed with shroomy flavor, and my neighbor's wild mushroom ravioli w/ checca sauce (fresh tomato, basil, fresh mozz.) was also tasty and relatively light.

Get thee there while you can (without waiting in a big line).
