Fiddler's Green in Millbrae for corn beef and cabbage

Our boss took us out for an early St. Patty's Day lunch today. We went to the Fiddler's Green pub in Millbrae. I'm definitly no expert on Irish food. I might have had corned beef two other times in my life. So my opinion is strictly from an casual observer point of view. I had the corned beef sandwich, other dining mates had shepard's pie and corned beef and cabbage. I found the beef to be really good. It's lean and flavorful, not dried out or too fatty. I didn't have a taste of the other items, but the pie looked to be just mashed potatos piled on some ground meat mixture. It didn't have a baked golden crust that I thought shepard's pie is suppose to have. But both dining mates proclaimed it to be delicious.

A few others in the restaurant were having fish and chips. It looked and smelled really good. Maybe next time I'll give them a try.
