Please join Dave Feldman and me for a special Sichuan banquet at China Village in Albany as chowhounds continue to work their way through the remarkable repetoire of the master chef. Though this will be my 25th meal here, all but one of the dishes will be new to me. Cost will be $65 per person, inclusive, plus a GoodWill contribution to Chowhound to support the site. Corkage will be complimentary, if you'd like to bring a special bottle of wine to share. You may also wish to bring your own wine glasses.

Sourcing of special ingredients and advance preparation for our dinner must begin by Tuesday. Accordingly, Tuesday noon is the deadline to request a spot at the table. Space is limited. If you would like to attend, please email me at MsWine@onebox.com to reserve a seat or spot on the waiting list.

The Menu:

Six cold appetizers of the chef's choice plus special condiments - Always delighted with his selection, but made one special request: light-shadow beef. For a photo and description of this dish -

Shrimp "pasta" stir-fried with three flavors - the hand-made noodles themselves are composed of fresh shrimp meat

Flash-sauteed geoduck clams with scallions

Double-boiled herb and organic chicken soup with green spinach dumplings filled with ground pork, mushroom and shrimp

Stir-fried fresh abalone slices with oyster mushrooms - a reprise without the sea cucumber this time and adding oyster mushrooms, for a description and picture -
