Went to the Santa Monica market this morning, bought a bag of tozzetti (they look and taste like biscotti to me) at the bread stand, southern end of 2nd. They are really delicious, not too hard, full of flavor (almonds & fennel seed). When I opened the bag I was shocked to find it was only half full! They stuffed it to make it look fuller with clear plastic packing material, (you know the kind that has those little pillows and you can pop them?)
I feel gypped! Cheated! Tricked! It's the same kind of feeling I get when I discover a new cereal in the grocery store, start buying it regularly, and then one day they downsize the package but keep the price.
The cookies are delicious, but on principal should I buy them again? Oh lord, I'm torn.
