I am staying in Union Square Area... I have printed out many many directions, bus routes, BART maps, etc so I am prepared the haul myself all over the city for good eats and scene. I really am in town for a conference BUT... I want to explore so we will see...
Your feedback on my plans/decisions would be awesome...
-Arriving and heading to Dottie's Blue Star Cafe for breakfast
-Lunch at In and Out (haven't been in 10 years +) and some sourdough at the huge Sourdough tourist trap + Ghiradelli Square for a Sundae? or a few tourist things...
-Walking through Northbeach (eating along the way- Victoria Bakery?)+ Climbing the Coit Tower... Suggestions in Northbeach?
*Nighttime occupied with conference
*Conference all day!
-Doing Ferry Building and may sneak away to walk Golden Gate Park
*Brunch time taken by conference
-Travel to Ike's for sandwich and call ahead with order
-Walk to Bi-Rite & Tartine
-Eat food in Delores Park
-Walk Mission- Murals Tour- Walk 24th and hit Humphrey's & Dynamo
-Head back to BART stop areas and hit either Pacho Villa for burrito or another
-Hitting up Citizen Cake on the way 5pm (required in order to get to airport) Dinner by hotel or sort of by/close to the BART(don't mind walking)- Have reservation at Absinthe and Zuni's for the sake of being proactive (already ruled out NOPA, rn74, Fluer De Lyse, Michael Mina, 1500 Hyde, Canteen, Gary Danko, Flour & Water, and a few others due to first seating time, menu, location, etc)
Help! I am leaning towards Zuni's- or at the bar at Absinthe.. I am a solo diner and requested a table(bar menus too limited). Suggestions for eats I need to add in Castro or Mission? Or routes to take/streets not to miss? Suggestions for quick bites or places to stop at in Chinatown? Things not to miss in Ferry Building? Suggestions for Friday activities of Warf area and Northbeach? Tips?
Thanks for the feedback!
