My sister is coming from BC to stay for a couple of weeks. She is a raw/organic/free range/picked by virgins by the light of the full moon type eater. She has sent a list of items she needs to have, because she won't be eating out, or eating what I'm eating. My question is, is there a single destination in Montreal where I can pick all of this up? Or, 2 destinations (I am thinking maybe fresh meat and fish might not be available at the same place the packaged stuff is...)?
List includes (assume EVERYTHING on this list is at the very least organic): (dried?) Asian mushrooms (maitake, shiitake, others I cant remember), chicken breasts, wild salmon, eggs, seaweed/sea vegetables, produce (greens etc.), avocados, nuts (raw, esp walntus and almonds), shrimp, wild rice, canned beans. She is particularly keen on finding seaweed - nori, dulse, wakame.
The closer to the Plateau, the better.
Any tips? I am kinda dreading this shopping trip because I dont want to spend a day trekking around to various locations, and also feel certain it is going to be pricey. She betta appreciate. :)
