favorite dirt cheap dish

i just finished eating the delicious pita/egg/cheese/sambal oolek sandwich that annieb. recommended at sultan's market here in beautiful wicker park. and this led to me dream about my favorite dirt cheap dishes around town. the reason? that sublime egg sandwich only cost $2.00! even when i asked that a dollop of the chopped lettuce marinated in something lemony used for the falafel sandwiches be added to my
sandwich. the other dish that springs to mind is the scrambled eggs with onion and 'gallo pinto'(black beans and rice) found at Irazu, on Milwaukee ave. near western. it costs, i believe, $3.75 and is one of my most satisfying meals. anybody have any others?
