We made our way out in the storm Friday evening for dinner at Tides...and all I can say id I'm so glad we did! I have honestly never been treated so well in a restaurant. The owner, Steve, took care of my date and I as if we were old friends in from out of town! Steve couldn't have been more pleasant or attentive.
For an appetizer, we shared the lobster roll. Fantastic flavor, big chunks of lobster and served with crisp Yuca chips. For mains, I had the famous Bouillabaisse. I really think I could live on that dish! So flavorful and filled with lobster, calamari, scallops, shrimps, etc. Spicy! My date had the whole grilled fish (Branzini) which was also fantastic. Cooked perfectly and very fresh.
We also had few glasses of wine after Steve poured us several to try.
I've been reading about Tides for some time now and this was my first experience. It will definitely not be my last! I can't convey strongly enough how welcomed we were made to feel.
Oh, and contrary to what you might have heard (or read), Tides will accept reservations for two.
