Our family is descending upon nyc to celebrate mom's b-day. For the first celebratory meal of the w/e mom has chosen Toqueville. Having been there once before we found the food fresh, delicately prepared and the staff refreshingly unpretentious. Where can we go, as a big group on a saturday night/ sundaynight? Gramercy Tavern rejected us as being too many and 71 clinton would be unrealistic to say the least! We really want to avoid the "waiters singing happy b-day "scene. There must be places other than cafe boulud, babbo, tabla, veritas, daniel, jojo's..out there , no?
