Extreme Make-Over For Uncle Spud (Sunnyside, Queens)

Warren | Jun 9, 2006 07:06 PM

Uncle Spud, which opened last year on 46th Street near Queens Boulevard with American specialties including cheesesteak sandwiches, hot dogs, and funnel cakes, apparently proved unpopular with Sunnyside's predominantly immigrant population. The eatery has changed its name to Town Square Diner, and has a new menu with Italian, Greek, and Hispanic items added. There's also a hot buffet table and salad bar. Has anyone dined there yet?
