Hi. Had a great meal with friends at Evergreen Taiwanese, 2424 Nicolette, in the basement. First time there. I'm vegetarian, they are not. Had three-cup tofu - delicious, and chow fun with tofu and vegetables (those noodles are delicious), and a friend ordered the eggplant with basil and garlic (delicious). My husband had the shrimp satay (not the peanut-based satay), and said it was just great. Other friends had the sea bass with tofu flakes (good, they said), and a curried noodle dish with shrimp. Excellent food, very inexpensive. Appetizers that I really enjoyed: the peanuts, and the seaweed knots. Had the tofu custard for dessert, which was good, but would give it a pass next time. Great place for vegetarians and vegans, as well as the fish and meat eaters. Some wonderful and unusual things on the menu. Good Asian market next door, too, to stock up for home cooking.
