Enchilada House in Frederick MD

merg01 | Dec 29, 2007 09:14 AM

The Enchilada House (Mexican food and bakery) opened in Frederick in October. It's not much to look at but most of the food is lovely and the buffet is inexpensive ($8.35 lunch including tax and beverage). Folding tables with vinyl tableclothes and folding chairs. The taco-burrito bar has 6 meat selections, multiple rice choices and perhaps a dozen salsas to choose from.

The hot table has lovely fried plaintains and other selections...some better than others. Included with the buffet is a choice of 1 or 2 fresh made enchiladas (chicken, beef or cheese) along with your choice of 6 or so sauces.

Sodas and mexican speciality drinks are included with the buffet. I particularly like the milk and cinnamon drink.

The owner is the original owner of Tacos Pepitos Bakery of Washington D.C. and Gaithersburg, MD.
