Eleven Madison Park - lunch - 4 course or tasting for two vegetarians?

I've read through all the other posts on here about EMP but I don't have the answer to my question just yet.

Both my husband and I are vegetarian and we have a lunch reservation at EMP in a week and a half. I'm not quite sure if we should get the 4-course tasting for $74 or spend the extra $100 for both of us (which is what a dinner at a mid-range restaurant would cost - so we are totally fine spending that money here instead) for the tasting menu.

From what I've read on here and from other reviews, it seems like there are a lot of signature dishes - the duck, the clambake - that are part of the tasting. However, I've also gotten the sense that the 4-course menu has so many extras and that the additional cost for the tasting isn't quite worth it.

I haven't seen any detailed reviews of a vegetarian tasting, only the 4-course, which looks wonderful. Has anyone gotten it recently and, if so, what was your experience?

If the perks of the tasting are the signature dishes - which are far from vegetarian - I'm not sure it's worth it for us, but I'm also willing to spend the money if anyone out there can convince me that it is!
