Wondering if other hounds have checked out this spot. Opened recently on Fig and Ave. 40. Colorful, cheery, open-air taqueria-style, but owned by a Venezuelan. The specialties seem to be burgers and, more notably, arepas, the South American cornmeal patty/"bun" that this joint does fried.
I have so far tried an arepa con pollo and one with queso blanco. Fresh, crispy, greasy in the best possible way. Juicy and delectable, especially with one of the salsas from their salsa bar (I especially enjoyed the thick, roasty red one).
I'd heard of arepas but had never had the pleasure. I just moved in a block away and will certainly be back.
