One of my best friends is severly egg and milk allergic. He comes over for dinner quite often, and I am running out of things to serve him! Usually I cook asian dishes, however, it would be nice to serve something "western" every once in a while. Do you have any recipes or "substitution tricks" that you can enlighten me with?
Things that I have tried already:
grated mountain yam instead of egg and bread crumbs for binding (very soft and slimy)
grated potatoes for binding
olive oil instead of butter
being paranoid and reading the ingredients off the label at least 4 times before purchase
Anything would help, really!
