We just had another great sushi dinner at Edo Sushi in UTC. Once again, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and ordered too much! The three of us shared vege tempura, 6 pieces each of nigiri tuna, toro, halibut, snapper, sea bass and ono. We also got the "Jacksal Roll," an 8-10 piece California roll with ono, cilantro, red onion and teardrop tomatoes on top (ok, very yuppy, what can we say? it is still excellent!). And if that wasn't enough, a cucumber roll and an order of soba with ikura and grated daikon to boot. Needless to say, we all split what we couldn't stuff down our stomachs!
The fish is consistently fresh and in good sized pieces (ie: not microscopic slices). Their sushi rice is neither dry or tasteless but a great combo of sticky and vinegary. It is the only place we have tried that has ono and blue fin tuna sushi. Both are great fish to try!
Service is attentive, friendly and not intrusive. We were at our table for 3 hours, just talking and stuffing our faces. Not once did we feel like they were trying to rush us out the door!
