Edendale Grill in Silverlake

Set up a birthday party dinner for this past Saturday night and a very good time there. I had checked it out the previous week based on some reviews here on Chowhound.Place was very crowded. We had a reservation for 10 that ended up being 15 but they were very accomodating as I didn't know about 4 of extra people until we were already seated. It was nice that they had expandable tables for my extra friends that showed. They had called me in the afternoon to re-confirm my reservation which was nice.My only complaints were the main courses took a LONG time to get to the table - like over an hour. My group was starting to grumble (or was it their stomachs rumbling)? And two weeks in a row the mashed potatoes were luke warm. Service from the entire staff was perfect.I was pleased that they didn't add an instant gratuity to our bill even with the size of the group. We tip well anyway - so the servers would be short changing themselves with a 15-18% tip with our group. Our server was a lot of fun - but so is my group - so we all had a great time. The server said they have a new chef from Louisiana that started last week. All the specials were cajun/creole influenced which they were not the previous week.
