Eats Off of the Orange Line in the Valley?

I have become somewhat of a public transportation nut, dragging Dommy to and fro in LA County with much success on Trains, subways, Light Rail and the dreaded Bus. I for one Can't Wait for Expo to be finished so we can have Close rail access to our place. On Friday, we'd planned to bring our bikes to Griffith park and ride a loop around Burbank. A pulled muscle nixed that idea.

Plan B was to take the Red Line to The Orange Line to Fry's in Canoga Park to look for some needed things and to find lunch in the area. Long Story short, since Seafood Sid's was too far and we could find a bus on the holiday, we ended up going to BJ's for half decent lunch. But the home brewed root beer which we were there to try was awful. It tasted like Diet A&W.

On the trek, we noticed how sparse the area around the Busway was and thought there might be more than meets the eye. I am looking for a good reason to drag Dommy! back to the Valley Via Bus [she was less than charmed] and hope you Hounds might have a recommendation worthy of such a feat. In other words good chow walking distance or a short bus ride from the Orange Line stops listed below.
