We ate at Dong Il Jong, (on 8th at Hobart) last night, and while it's not the best Korean food in LA it's pretty darn good, and we have been going for there for the last 17 years, (so they know us and take good care of us). After stuffing myself with chap jae, bolgoki and various namul I staggered back to the car. One of the things I like to do is grill my kim chi and add it to my bite of bolgoki with shoyu and some rice. Messy, but delicious.
Since Korean food was on my mind I did a little google search and came up with this link to K restaurants all over the Greater LA area that I thought might be useful to other lovers of Korean food that frequent CH.
Has anyone tried the black goat dishes at Chin Go Gae, also on 8th Street? I have read that you can either grill it at the table or simmer it in a flavorful broth, and then you add fresh greens to the mix. The meat is supposed to be infused with red pepper and massive amounts of garlic and will just about blow the top of your head off. My kind of meal.
