Greetings from Portland Oregon. It's now the peak of strawberry season. I just had some of the Hood variety, which have zero shelf life, are so juicy & sweet, and melt on my tongue!
Had a long layover at Midway last week. While it was a pleasant airport, better than most in the US, I had a hard time finding a place to eat. I settled on Illinois Bar & Grill. "Greeted" by surly person who shouted "NEXT!" in my face. Person who handed me my food was equally unfriendly, perhaps even angry. And they have a tip jar...that's funny... Employees trained at the same charm school that educates DMV workers. Fried fish sandwich was barely acceptable but I was hungry. I only make an issue of all this because they proclaim themselves to be "not fast food".
On the "A" concourse I later saw a place called Murray's Deli. Is this any good? It looked somewhat promising.
I do have future trips planned, so thank you for your views. May be willing to take a train somewhere of it's quick & reliable.
