My wife and I are spending an extended weekend in Chicago in early June to see the King Tut exhibit and attend the Chicago Blues Festival.
After reviewing numerous websites (Chicago Reader, Metromix, City Search, Frommers, Fodors, Chowhound, etc) we have decided on dinner at The Custom House and lunch at Topolobampo. Now we need comments on the great appetizers, entrees, side dishes, and desserts at both restaurants.
We have also decided to try Lou Malnati's for deep dish pizza. I remember trying some when I was in Chicago for 3 weeks back in the early 70s.
Any ideas on good and reasonably priced Italian food. We are staying at the Flemish House on Cedar Street and want to eat at the Italian restaurant on Monday after we see the King Tut exhibit.
