Far be it from me to bury the lede: the main draw at Duel Brewery is their excellent (and very strong) Belgian-style beer. I tried their Fiction (Belgian IPA) and Titian (Belgian strong ale), both were terrific, with an understated complexity you don't often find in American beers.
Chow was very good too. The German plate with a bratwurst and a spicy sausage was right on target, served with sauerkraut, a terrific cold potato salad with bacon, brown mustard, and a thoughtful curried ketchup. The Reuben sandwich was arguably even better, helped immeasurably by being served on their house-made rye bread. But they also know they're in Santa Fe and they have a respectable array of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu as well. I also want to get back and try a Belgian waffle; I feel like it wouldn't be on the menu if it weren't good.
Located on the south side of town in a fun, two-story artsy space with nice original art on the wall (owners are artists), friendly staff. This place is a terrific addition to the city.
