On 14th street near Market a former (mediocre) Chinese restaurant has become..."Lucky Time" Vietnamese-Chinese. Thank God not another Thai place!
I went for lunch..had a very good.. free, hot and sour soup..filled with lots of "stuff".
The Grilled beef over vermicelli was okay..not great, but the Imperial rolls included had that wonderful ..chewy..sort of minor stick to teeth texture from fried rice paper..
The chef is from Viet Nam...but the menu is mixed..I will report back after trying a few more selections.
They did have some interesting things on their menu..such as ...

Vietnamese style beef short ribs
Vietnamese style Herb Prawns
House special Tea Chicken in Secret Sauce
Shredded steak w/ preserved vegetables in Birds' Nest
Chefs Special Oxtail in Claypot w/ red wine
Mixed Seafood and Bean Curd w/ XO sauce in Clay Pot
and they have Pea Sprouts with fresh garlic
Dessert includes Coconut cake and fresh Mango Pudding
