Downtown SF lunch restaurants with plush booths for elderly diner?

Can someone recommend some nice restaurants for lunch in downtown SF or near Civic Center that feature comfortable booths? I'm having lunch in a few weeks with a wonderful elderly man who has a hard time getting around, but who still loves great food. We were going to have lunch at Zuni until I realized that he would be uncomfortable sitting in their chairs. He used to love having lunch in those big plush booths at Stars, and prefers a booth to a plush chair. As he walks with a cane, he also needs a place with no steps to navigate. What are our options for California cuisine/French/Italian? Soluna, across the street from the Asian Art Museum has great booths, but I'd rather go somewhere a little more upscale. Any suggestions?
