Each year, I play host to about six staff members in my organization who come from different parts of the country for a department meeting in Los Angeles. We end the meeting with a dinner, and I've established a reputation for taking folks to interesting or "adventurous" restaurants.
I've run out of ideas for our dinner - we've done Korean BBQ, shabu shabu, Traxx at Union Station, and Ciao Trattoria. The budget for the dinner won't allow places like the Water Grill or The Palm, even if we wanted to go there. However, the place we go can't be too low budget either - my colleagues will think I'm being stingy.
The staff also likes places that have interesting decor or historical significance - how's the food at Engine Co. No. 28? Any other suggestions would be appreciated -
