Hi northwest chowers! I'd LOVE some help on this:
My mom, in her late 60s, just moved into a condo downtown a few blocks behind Pike's Street Market (on 2nd st.) She's not very good at exploring the area on her own, so for Xmas I'd like to give her a homemade restaurant guide for places she can walk to, as driving directions are getting difficult for her.
Can you all help me out with some suggestions (& brief discriptions) of nice, relatively sedate places nearby for her to get a tasty dinner, a cozy cup of coffee, fresh sushi, etc.
if i get enough responses, i'll be happy to post a summary you can give to your tourist guests. And always happy to provide L.A. suggestions if you're ever down my way. TIA!
