Had dinner at the Downtown cafe, in Kingston NY on sat night. I would go there last year and sit at the bar, try different wines and watch Grazianno cook in his funky open kitchen. When he's slow he would tinker on his laptop dreaming up new receipes. at the end of the bar.
Great food, very creative and is heavy handed to bless every dish with olive oil too.( appetizers mostly) His fresh pasta is pretty great since he makes thepasta fresh then cooks it to order so it may take alittle time.
He expanded the place and I hope the quality stays the same. My friend + his wife love the joint and find it a staple while up in Woodstock.
I brought my friend a graduate of Culinary there one weekday night in the winter and we had the best time and food + wine! very inspiring for a true foodie!
I reccomend it highly and would love to hear from others that have enjoyed this place too.
Cost as much as NYC but the portions are much bigger.
Nice to see chefs still inspired before they have to start just " feeding People " and running a "business" and still in love with food and cooking.
