Restaurants & Bars 3

I posted about "doubles" on the General Food board and no one replied (link below). I am re-posting here because you all should know about and eat them. They are too good.

These remarkable hamburger-sized things are being sold by the Trinidad Roti truck on Front St. around Wall st. Mon-Fri at lunchtime. They are a special small-size roti made with yellow peas in the batter and deep fried, that come out somewhere near the consistency of a zeppole. The standard way to order them is just with curried-chick-pea filling, but they will also fill with jerk chicken, oxtails, or whatever else is at hand.

Pardon the redundant post, but I am too in love with doubles, and I must share.
