Dos Burritos Re-Opens

After what seemed like forever, the Dos Burritos that used to be next to the Pantages Theater has reopened a block away.

It’s on the south side of Hollywood in the first block west of Vine.

It’s still quite sterile inside, as they just opened, and it's still small: about 6 stools at the counter; but I’m happy to report the burritos are the same.

As before, I got the carnitas burrito. The carnitas were tasty and stringy, and with very little fat. The beans were creamy and the sauce was just spicy enough to keep it interesting. The tortilla was good, too: fresh and soft.

The carne asada burrito was also just like they used to make it.

We got it to go, and the guy filled up the remainder of the bag with chips that were pretty good. They used to give you a little cup of salsa, but this time they didn’t do that. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice until I got home. I would have asked for it so we’d have something to dip the chips into.

The carne asada burrito was $4.95 and the carnitas burrito was $4.65. They’re good sized and worth the price.
